FindIT: Building Marketing Around
Brand, Content and Growth

Introduction

FindIT is an IT recruitment company operating in a highly competitive market where both clients and candidates have plenty of alternatives. I joined as Marketing Manager to bring structure to a marketing function that had grown reactively. My role covered brand, website, content, social media, and marketing operations, with one clear objective: make FindIT more visible, more credible, and better at generating business. Working closely with the CEO, I rebuilt the marketing foundation and connected day-to-day execution with the company’s wider growth goals.

Challenge

FindIT already had strong momentum in recruitment, but its marketing did not reflect the quality or ambition of the business. The brand looked inconsistent across channels, the website was outdated and difficult to navigate, organic visibility was limited, and social media lacked a clear direction. Internally, marketing was also highly reactive. There was no centralized calendar, clear workflow, or consistent reporting, which created bottlenecks and made it difficult to plan ahead. The challenge was to turn scattered marketing activities into one coherent system that could strengthen the brand and consistently support sales.

Strategy & Execution

I built the marketing strategy around three priorities: strengthen the brand, create sustainable inbound demand, and introduce the processes needed to execute consistently. That meant rebuilding FindIT’s identity and digital presence, investing in SEO and content as long-term acquisition channels, turning LinkedIn into an active brand and distribution channel, and creating clearer internal workflows around planning, production, approvals, and reporting. Every initiative was tied back to a business objective, from increasing visibility and attracting candidates to generating qualified client leads.

Branding

I started with a brand refresh designed to make FindIT feel more modern, distinctive, and credible within the IT recruitment market. After reviewing the competitive landscape, I helped redefine the visual direction and introduced a more cohesive identity across the company’s touchpoints. The refresh included a new logo, updated typography and colors, and an owl mascot that represented knowledge, guidance, and expertise. I also created clearer brand guidelines so the identity could be applied consistently across the website, social media, sales materials, presentations, and internal communication.

The result was a brand that looked and felt like one company wherever people encountered it.

Website

I led the redesign of the FindIT website from initial structure and user flows to messaging, content, and launch.

The previous website was difficult to navigate and did not clearly communicate FindIT’s services or value to its two key audiences: companies hiring talent and candidates looking for opportunities. We simplified the structure, created clearer paths for both audiences, sharpened the messaging, introduced stronger calls to action, and added a blog to support the wider SEO and content strategy.

The new website became the central point connecting FindIT’s recruitment services, and lead-generation efforts.

Content

To reduce reliance on short-term outreach, I introduced a content strategy designed to generate long-term organic demand. I conducted keyword and topic research around IT recruitment, hiring, interviews, careers, and workplace trends, then built an editorial calendar around the questions FindIT’s clients and candidates were already searching for.

Content was optimized for search and connected through internal linking, metadata, and clear conversion paths.

Over time, this helped improve FindIT’s organic visibility and contributed to a 30% increase in inbound leads.

Social Media

LinkedIn became the main social channel for building FindIT’s visibility and credibility.

I rebuilt the company’s content approach around job opportunities, recruitment expertise, industry insights, team stories, employer-brand content, and practical advice for both candidates and hiring companies. I also refreshed the company page, introduced a structured content calendar, aligned social visuals with the new brand, and encouraged employees to participate in distribution.

The change was significant. LinkedIn developed from a relatively passive company page into an active top-of-funnel channel generating hundreds of thousands of organic impressions and significantly more engagement with the brand.

Marketing Operations

The visible marketing transformation required an internal system to support it. I introduced a centralized marketing calendar, clearer project management workflows, weekly check-ins, approval processes, and more structured coordination across content, design, social media, email, events, and website activities.

This gave both the marketing leadership better visibility into what was being produced, why it mattered, and how individual initiatives connected to business priorities. Marketing became easier to plan, execute, and measure, with fewer bottlenecks and less reactive work.

Results

The results of this transformation were tangible and business-critical:

Inbound Leads +30%: Content helped turn the website into a more consistent source of qualified demand.

9 New Clients Acquired: Stronger visibility, credibility, and lead generation contributed to new business acquisition., directly boosting FindIT’s revenue.

LinkedIn Performance: FindIT’s LinkedIn page saw explosive growth across all key metrics, reflecting a vastly improved social media presence:

  • +2,563% LinkedIn page views

  • +2,262% unique visitors

  • +3,208% custom button clicks

  • +1,630% post reactions

  • 650K+ organic impressions

Beyond the numbers, FindIT gained a clearer and more recognizable brand, a stronger digital presence, and an internal marketing system capable of supporting continued growth.

The biggest improvement was structural: marketing moved from a collection of disconnected activities to a coordinated function tied directly to FindIT’s business objectives.
